Steve Martin Winner At Bluegrass AwardsFunnyman Steve Martin has scooped two prizes at the International Bluegrass Music Association Awards.

The actor-turned-musician released his first album of banjo tunes, The Crow: New Songs for the Five String Banjo, earlier this year, and the CD became a critical and commercial smash in America. And Martin was hailed for his musical efforts on Thursday when he landed the awards for Best Liner Notes and Best Graphic Design - two of the six categories he was nominated for - at the 20th annual ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.

However, the night belonged to O Brother, Where Art Thou soundtrack star Dan Tyminski, a member of Alison Krauss' band Union Station, who walked away with the top accolades for Male Vocalist of the Year and Top Album for Wheels.

It was the fourth time Tyminski had won the Male Vocalist prize - he took home the award in 2001, 2002 and 2003.

Other winners included Daily & Vincent, who came top in the categories Best Entertainer, Vocal Group of the Year and Best Gospel for On the Other Side, and Dale Ann Bradley, who was named best Female Vocalist for the third consecutive year.
