Madonna On Marriage: 'I'd Rather Get Run Over By A Train'
The Material Girl has been married twice - her 1985 union to Oscar winner Sean Penn lasted four years, while her divorce from director Guy Ritchie was finalized in 2008 after eight years as husband and wife.
Madonna, 51, is now dating toy-boy Jesus Luz and this week was forced to deny rumors she was planning to hold a Kabbalah commitment ceremony to prove her love for the young model. The singer is adamant she will never walk down the aisle again - but admits she does miss the advantages of joint parenthood.
She tells talk show host David Letterman, "I think I'd rather get run over by a train (than get married). But that said I do miss things about being married. Being a single parent means you're in charge of everything. You can't just say, 'Hey, can you give the kids a bath?' There's no job sharing."
Madonna shares two kids with Ritchie - sons Rocco, nine, and adopted David, three - while she is also mum to daughter Lourdes, 12, from a previous relationship and adopted girl Mercy, three.
