Randy Quaid Told To Return To California
Authorities are urging Randy Quaid and his wife Evi to surrender themselves to California police to face charges over an unpaid hotel bill. Houston native Quaid and his partner were taken into custody in Marfa, Texas last week after a California judge issued an arrest warrant for the pair, citing an outstanding $10,000 hotel bill they allegedly racked up at the luxury San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara.
They were released after each posting $20,000 bail but have yet to return to California, where they are facing three felony charges of allegedly burglarizing and defrauding the hotel owner.
California bosses are now threatening to send law enforcement officials to Texas to apprehend the Brokeback Mountain star and his spouse if they fail to return voluntarily.
Santa Barbara District Attorney Lee Carter tells RadarOnline.com, "We are seeking their voluntary return to California. We are hopeful that a date will be set for the Quaids in the very near future."
