Victoria Beckham has spoken out to silence reports she is starving herself to stay thin. The pop-star-turned-fashion designer is known for her slight frame and has long been subjected to tabloid speculation suggesting she eats very little.

But the former Spice Girl has decided to finally respond to the rumors - insisting the claims are "irresponsible" and could have a negative effect on her young fans.

She tells Britain's Daily Mirror, "I am fine - happy and healthy. It's irresponsible when people obsess about my shape and size. I appreciate there are young girls and women who look to me as a role model and it is simply untrue to say I do not eat and I am unhealthy. I have a healthy diet, a healthy lifestyle and plenty of energy to run after my three energetic boys and travel the world managing my fashion business."
