A pharmacist has reportedly told officials probing the former model's passing in 2007 that he was so concerned at the amount of medications the star was taking; he eventually refused to fill her prescriptions. He even began fearing for Smith's life, adding: "They are going to kill her with this."
The unidentified pharmacist's comments are contained in unsealed documents leaked to the Los Angeles Times. He is adamant he warned Smith's internist, Sandeep Kapoor, that the level of medications she was taking were potentially fatal.
Investigators have also reportedly uncovered evidence that both Kapoor and psychiatrist Khristine Eroshevich had sexual contact with Smith.
Kapoor, Eroshevich, and Smith's boyfriend Howard K. Stern pleaded not guilty in May to conspiring to illegally provide her with controlled substances. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for next month.
