Grey's Anatomy - Premieres Thursday, Sept. 24
Izzie was the focal point of last season's 'Grey's Anatomy' finale. Alex and Izzie had married in a previous episode so he had recently become much more invested in making sure Izzie stayed alive. Several lines were drawn between the residents about whether or not Izzie should have surgery because when they tested the procedure Izzie lost her memory, a quality that could've been permanent after surgery. Izzie decided to go forth with the surgery and sign the Do Not Resuscitate from, even though Alex begged her not to. When Izzie came out of surgery her memory seemed shot. Alex worked with her and even yelled at her a few times because he was frustrated. In the last moments of the episode Izzie coded, Richard said to forget the DNR and viewers saw Izzie and George meeting at the elevator in Izzie's mind.
Desperate Housewives - Premieres Sunday, Sept. 27
On last season's finale of 'Desperate Housewives' the story of Dave Dash finally came to a close. Most of the two-part episode was about Dave reliving the last moments with his wife, Lila, and his daughter and giving viewers a chance to understand the pain Dave had been living in since the pair was accidentally killed by Mike and Susan in a car crash. Dave had finally convinced Susan and M.J. to come camping with him, and the group made it pretty far out of town before Mike realized what was happening. You see, Dave had left a tape with Mike of "band stuff," and the tape had accidentally began playing while he was at the airport with Katherine. Mike ran to Susan and M.J.'s side and was, thankfully, able to save them. Viewers thought that M.J. had been killed, but Dave had let him go. Dave didn't die, instead ending up in a mental institution.
Susan wasn't the only character having a traumatic time during last season's finale, though. Gaby was at odds with her new house guest, Carlos' niece, and Carlos wasn't siding with her. Bree and Karl shared a steamy kiss after Bree accused Karl of having Orson attacked. Orson had threatened to tell the police about Bree committing insurance fraud if she divorced him, and Karl, apparently, doesn't care much for threats. Lastly, Tom and Lynette learned they were pregnant with a second set of twins not long after Tom had announced he was going back to college.
The shocker at the end of the season that viewers will have to check out - Mike's wedding!
Speaking of George, he had decided to join the army. His friends tried to stop him, but he felt he had to do it. A woman had come in with a trauma patient earlier in the episode, a patient the doctors couldn't identify. The woman explained she felt connected to the man because he had pushed her out of the way of a bus, saving her life. At the same time Izzie was coding, Meredith was discovering that their trauma patient was actually George.

Brothers & Sisters - Premieres Sunday, Sept. 27
Sarah wants to give Ryan a severence package, and Holly reluctantly agrees. Saul is asked to present it to Ryan, but returns it unsigned.
Justin and Rebecca tell Holly they are enaged, and she is less than thrilled. But the Walkers are ecstatic when he proposes again in front of them.
Nora tracks down Tommy in Mexico, and the entire family winds up going there, even though Kevin is furious with his brother.
Robert also shows up, but regrets his decision and takes off in a helicopter. Kitty decides to fight for her marriage just as the helicopter lifts off.
Private Practice - Premieres Thursday, Oct. 1
When 'Practice Practice' ended last season viewers were left with many more questions than answers. Honestly, there really weren't any answers. Addison was still having trouble deciding whether or not she should continue her relationship with Noah, the doctor whose wife is her patient. Every episode she flip flopped, and things became much more difficult for her when Morgan, the wife, went in to labor.
Although Addison and Noah are a fantastic story, nothing is more exciting and intense than the Violet-Pete-Sheldon love triangle. The only resolution viewers got last season was that Sheldon was being cut from the triangle. Unfortunately, we still don't know who the father of Violet's unborn child is so hopefully Sheldon is walking about with glue. More important than finding out whom the child's father is will be watching to find out whether or not the child will live. In the last moment of the episode Violet's psychotic patient was about to cut open her stomach and steal her baby.
Last on the 'Private Practice' update list is Naomi deciding to take the job at the building's rival practice, ultimately ousting Charlotte from her job. As if giving up the practice she once referred to as her baby wasn't hard enough, Sam decided it was time to reveal to her that he still had feelings for her, sort of.
