Kanye West"I feel like Ben Stiller in 'Meet the Parents' when he messed up everything and Robert De Niro asked him to leave," Kanye West wrote on his website after he stormed the MTV VMAs stage. "That was Taylor's moment and I had no right in any way to take it from her."

While The Frisky believes that apology was pretty lame, they think that he made up for it with his appearance on Jay Leno's show the other night. Still, Kate Torgovnick was inspired by Kanye to find another 9 lame apologies mustered by celebs.

Ashlee Simpson: Remember her appearance on SNL? "I feel so bad. My band started playing the wrong song, and I know it's no excuse, but I decided to do a hoe down." That was almost as bad as her Orange Bowl performance.

David Letterman: "I can't really defend these. They're just jokes... You know a joke's a bad one when you have to explain it," Letterman said in response to Sarah Palin blasting his comedic take on her trip to New York. Lame in that he actually apologized, since Palin claimed he was mocking her 14 year-old daughter, while in reality he was poking fun at her 18 year-old daughter (who was working the PR circuit pregnant at the time).

Chris Brown: "My mother and my spiritual teachers have taught me better than that," he said. "No one is more disappointed in me than I am." Brown follows the script in front of him exactly, and the fact it took him 5 months after the attack doesn't look good. Plus, check out that shirt! WTF?
