Football star Tom Brady has confirmed Hollywood's worst kept secret - his wife Gisele Bundchen is pregnant.

Despite photographs showing her with a bulging belly, the Brazilian supermodel refused to state she was expecting her first child with the New England Patriots hero, and her bump was reportedly airbrushed from modeling shots.

However, Brady couldn't keep the good news to himself any longer - and told commentators at ESPN sports network on Friday the couple is ready to welcome a tot in December.

Brady is convinced he's ready for a new baby - insisting it can't be as grueling as training for the football season.

He joked, "It couldn't be harder than this training camp, so I'll be prepared."

Brady has a son with ex-partner Bridget Moynahan.
