Michael JacksonVIENNA (AP) — Organizers of a tribute to Michael Jackson that had been set for Vienna this month say the event will be held instead in London next June.

Vienna event promoter Georg Kindel told reporters that too many top performers had scheduling conflicts, and he says: "Maybe we underestimated these issues."

Friday's announcement came at the end of a turbulent week of reports that key artists including Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown and Natalie Cole couldn't make the Sept. 26 event. The original plan had been to stage it outside a 17th century palace in Vienna.

Kindel didn't say where in London the tribute would be held. He said only that it's now planned for sometime in the first half of June 2010.
