The "Melrose Place" remake opened to just 2.3 million viewers on Tuesday night, according to Variety.com.

The first new series of the fall television season debuted after the second season premiere of 90210, which had 2.56 million viewers overall.

Both shows performed decently among its intended target - young women. They finished second in their time slots with females aged 18-34.
