Photos were shot of Sarah Jessica Parker filming "Sex And The City 2" in the Upper East Side in New York City yesterday, but she could be doing a remake of Bette Midler's 1979 movie "The Rose" with that permed hair. See more photos after the jump...

"Sex And The City 2" bosses were recently denied permission to film in the conservative United Arab Emirates. Government officials took a dislike to the planned work and have refused them access to shoot in Dubai, according to local newspaper The National. Earlier reports had suggested authorities in the country were not keen on having the word "sex" in the title.

Earlier this summer, the two Ohio police officers accused of plotting to break into the home of Sarah Jessica Parker's surrogate pleaded not guilty to a string of burglary charges. The actress and her husband Matthew Broderick, who welcomed twin girls via a surrogate mom on June 23rd, have been swept up in the ongoing investigation surrounding an alleged tabloid scam to dig up dirt on the woman who carried their babies.
