A Los Angeles native and the youngest of six siblings born to Honduran parents, America was raised by her mother in Woodland Hills, CA.

America recently admitted she's afraid to go shopping. She said, "I don't like to shop. I don't like being in stores... I've never enjoyed shopping since I was young. It's just not something that I like to do."

America stars in the upcoming films How To Train Your Dragon, in which the son of a Viking chief must capture a dragon in order to mark his passage into manhood and prove his worthiness to the tribe, and Family Wedding, starring Forest Whitaker.
