Jimi Hendrix Biopic Planned
Studios have been alerted to the star's story by the 40th anniversary of the Woodstock Festival in New York, which Hendrix headlined.
According to Daily Variety, Max Borenstein is writing a screenplay, which will then have to be approved by the rocker's estate.
It's not the first time a Hendrix movie has been considered since the star died in 1970. Lenny Kravitz and Andre '3000' Benjamin have headlined previous planned projects that failed to win approval from Experience Hendrix, which is run by the guitarist's sister.
