The last episode before the season finale did not disappoint. A film critic came in with a broken elbow and was then forced to defend all of the movies he'd bashed to the hospital staff. He shared a moment with Dr. Akalitus when she told him she was happy to meet another bad guy. He admitted to bashing a film because he was going through a divorce and she quickly walked away before the flirtation continued. Zoey gave the same critic the wrong medication, and he went into a coma. Zoey also realized that her hospital crush Thor was gay, and sarcastically thanked Mo-Mo for telling her.

After his kiss with Jackie last week, Dr. Cooper broke up with girlfriend. When Dr. O'Hara found out about the kiss, she couldn't stop laughing. Coop bought Jackie flowers and gum while trying to woo her but she kept two of the flowers to give to her daughters and tossed the rest. Another funny moment came when Mo-Mo had to flush a spider out of a patient's ear while barely holding it together.

Eddie showed Jackie that the pill-o-matic reset every time it was unplugged so that she could continue to get pills. Jackie kissed him while he tried to insist that he'd meet her kid and she'd meet his mom. The episode ended like many of the episodes. Jackie met her family at her husband's bar and kissed her husband. The real plot twist happened outside of the bar as a stunned Eddie watched Jackie with her family.
