Paula Abdul is set to bounce from 'Idol' to 'Ugly' - she's in talks to join the cast of sitcom Ugly Betty.

The former American Idol judge is negotiating an acting role on the show, which has featured Lindsay Lohan and Victoria Beckham and guests in the past.

Ironically, Beckham took Abdul's "Idol" judging chair when she sat in on auditions in Denver, Colorado last week.

An "Ugly Betty" insider tells EW.com Abdul's in talks to play an office temp, who bonds with Becki Newton's catty character Amanda.
