Check out some photos of Russell Brand and Jonah Hill filming "Get Him to the Greek" in Central Park in New York yesterday. We can't tell if he's acting or just being himself.

Russell has trademarked himself via an outlandishly flamboyant, rave-happy persona, sporting the goth-tinged apparel, black mascara, and a bouffant, mile-high hairdo to match.

The film is a buddy comedy about an insurance agent (Jonah Hill) who's forced to follow a rowdy rock star (Russell Brand) on a trip from London to L.A.

Russell will host the Video Music Awards for the second year in a row. The live event will be held in New York on Sept. 13. Russell - known for his deadpan, off-kilter humor - hosted last year's show in Los Angeles.
