Earlier this month Ashton ruptured his eardrum during shooting in the Bahamas for his new movie Five Killers. Worried crewmembers admitted him to a nearby medical center when they noticed he had a bloody ear.

Ashton stars in the upcoming film Spread, which centers on the exploits of a Los Angeles gigolo working his way to infamy one mattress at a time. The film premieres Aug. 14.
