New Mozart Music UncoveredTwo new compositions by a young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart have been uncovered in Salzburg, Austria. The previously unknown pieces were found among the collection at the International Mozarteum Foundation.

In a statement announcing the discovery on Thursday, officials for the Foundation say, "The Department of Research at the International Mozarteum Foundation Salzburg has identified two works, which have long been in the possession of the Foundation, as compositions of the young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart."

The rare finds will be presented to the media for the first time on August 2 when they will be performed by classical musician Florian Birsak at the Mozart family's old home in Salzburg.
