'Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince' Makes Over $100 Million Worldwide Opening Day
The film hit theaters on Wednesday and midnight screenings alone in the U.S. scooped $22.2 million, scoring the best opening night gross of all time.
The sixth movie in the boy wizard franchise saw U.S. takings almost triple for the whole day, garnering $58.2 million.
The latest installment, which stars Daniel Radcliffe as Potter, took $45.9 million from the rest of the world - taking its first day opening to $104 million.
The film also scored the third-highest opening day record of all time in the U.K. and Australia, grossing $7.6 million and $4.4. million respectively.
