Jessica Simpson is reportedly "sad, mad, and confused" after Tony Romo finished their relationship. The pop star was allegedly dumped by the Dallas Cowboys quarterback on the eve of her 29th birthday on Friday.

The 20-month romance came to an end after Romo reportedly found text messages from her former love John Mayer on her cell phone. And the singer has taken the split badly, and has turned to her close-knit family to get her through, according to People.com.

A source tells the website, "Jessica was really blindsided. She's sad, mad, and confused. Her emotions are all over the place. She is holding up okay. She is with her family. They are - as always - very supportive of her. She's gone through heartache before. She wants someone who is on the same page that she is. If she has to move on for that, she will."
