Michael Jackson's Death A HomicideAccording to website TMZ.com Los Angeles police are treating Michael Jackson's death as a homicide, citing "plenty of powerful evidence" that points to Jackson's cardiologist, Dr. Conrad Murray, as the person who administered Jackson with the drug Propofol and is responsible for the King of Pop's death.

One of Jackson's nurses also claims to have been interviewed by homicide detectives over needle marks on the star's arms.

But a new report from CBS News says that the Los Angeles Police Department has denied TMZ's claims that Jackson's death has become a homicide investigation. The LAPD has not released a statement on the matter; however an officer speaking on behalf of the department said she "doesn't know where TMZ is getting that information."

Yesterday, the coroner's office subpoenaed Jackson's records from his dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein; and the results from Jackson's autopsy aren't expected for at least another week. According to the Los Angeles Times, "Authorities have maintained that it's too early to know whether any crimes have been committed and that much depends on the official cause of death pending the toxicology tests."

But TMZ is holding to their claim that the quantity of the Propofol found in Jackson's house is enough to declare it as the cause of death and allege that Dr. Murray is the man responsible.

The website only credits "law enforcement sources" with their information.
