'Harry Potter' Makes Lots Of Money In Midnight Shows

Warner Bros. says "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" took in $22.2 million domestically from midnight screenings.That beats the $18 million earned in midnight runs by "The Dark Knight" and the $17 million earned by "Star Wars: Episode III — Revenge of the Sith."
Earlier this summer, "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" also opened on a Wednesday and grossed $16 million in midnight runs.
