FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - Carrie Underwood will headline a Salute to the Troops Concert next month at Fort Campbell. A spokeswoman for Underwood says the show is one of only a handful of live performances she is doing this summer as she works on a new album for later this year.

The Aug. 14 concert for the soldiers and their families will also feature John Rich and Jake Owen.

The performance kicks off the Week of the Eagles, a celebration honoring the Screaming Eagles of the 101st Airborne Division.

Fort Campbell is a sprawling Army post that straddles the Kentucky-Tennessee line.
