Lindsay LohanLindsay Lohan has blasted reports she stole the formula for her tanning spray, insisting a chemist who is suing her is merely motivated by money.

The Mean Girls star launched bronzer Sevin Nyne - named after her lucky numbers - earlier this year after she reportedly spent three years developing the product alongside entrepreneur Lorit Simon.

But Florida-based chemist Jennifer Sunday alleges she showed Simon her tanning mist samples three months earlier in January and the pair then stole the formula.

Sunday is suing for breach of contract, theft of trade secrets, civil conspiracy, intentional interference with contractual relations, and deceptive and unfair trade practices, according to documents filed in Tampa, Florida on Sunday.

The lawsuit alleges Simon and Sunday were in negotiations over the product, but they couldn't agree on a price.

Now the 23-year-old actress has fought back, insisting she did not steal the formula and Sunday is only after cash.

Lohan writes on her Twitter.com page, "No formula was stolen for Sevin Nyne! It's a woman looking for a payday. That's it!"
