Train Vs Tornado, Michael Jackson Seen In A Tree Stump, Jennifer's Body & More (Videos)
Our first video is what happens when a train meets a tornado. Seriously. On January 8, 2008, in the McHenry and Boone counties in Illinois, a moving train was caught going through the path of a tornado. Amazingly, a camera mounted on top of one of the freight cars happened to catch most of it. The fun begins about a minute in, when you'll see the weather start to drastically change. Rain and hailstones start to appear and the tops of trees begin bending. And yes, the tanker car was carrying hazardous materials and the town of Lawrence had to be evacuated. The twister reached EF 3 status, which is classified as having winds between 136 and 165 miles per hour. Thankfully it was a freight train and not a passenger train. Further along its path the tornado flipped a tractor-trailer truck at a weigh station, injuring the driver. Check it out:
