Movie bosses cut scenes of a confused LaToya Jackson from Sacha Baron Cohen's new comedy Bruno at the film's Los Angeles premiere on Thursday night out of respect for her late brother.

Jackson made an accidental cameo in the film after British funnyman Cohen convinced her he was an Austrian fashion journalist, called Bruno, for a skit in his new film, but producers felt it would be bad taste to poke fun at her hours after her brother Michael died.

It is not known if the scene will remain cut from the film when it is released on July 10.

The Bruno premiere prevented Michael Jackson fans from paying tribute to the King of Pop on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - the singer's star was covered by the red carpet to the screening at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.

That led to a mix up on Hollywood Boulevard - fans put up flowers and memorial items around the star for radio broadcaster Michael Jackson.

Flowers will be placed on Jackson's star at 9am on Friday.
