Ashlee's husband Pete Wentz also appeared at the event. The couple recently dismissed gossip that they were having trouble. Rumors surfaced suggesting Simpson was unhappy with the Fall Out Boy star's constant partying, while she was left at home to look after their son.

Ashlee, who previously starred in a recurring role on TV's 7th Heaven in 2002, will take on the part of Violet, a small town girl with a sex-kitten alter ego, in the updated version of Melrose Place.
