Rocker Rod Stewart's ex-wife Rachel Hunter has reportedly been dumped just two months before she was due to walk down the aisle.

The 39-year-old model was set to wed Canadian hockey star Jarret Stoll - who is 12 years her junior - in a California ceremony this August. Stoll proposed to Hunter after two years of dating.

However, the blonde beauty has been left "devastated" after the sports star walked away from their relationship without even explaining his reasons, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper.

A source tells the publication, "She is absolutely devastated. Everything was in place for their wedding - she had the venue, the designer dress, the guest list. She has absolutely no idea why Jarret has done this. It sounds like it could be a case of cold feet. He is a fair bit younger than her."

Hunter, who divorced Stewart in 2006 after 16 years of marriage, has two children with the rocker.
