American Idol runner-up David Archuleta's father has been fined almost $600 after he was caught receiving a massage from a prostitute. The singer's dad James was held at a vice den in Midvale, Utah during a police raid in January.

Detective Sgt. John Salazar, of the Midvale Police Department, tells RadarOnline.com, "He was just finishing up in suite number one. I sent two of the officers in and the male was on his stomach on the table with a masseuse in lace underwear. He was asked if he'd received any sexual services and he said he had."

James Archuleta was charged with soliciting a prostitute, and pleaded no contest at a subsequent court hearing. He paid a fine of $582.

His attorney Erik Bauer claims Archuleta went to the massage parlor to have a back problem treated and sexual contact did not occur.
