Ashley Olsen and Molly Sims showed up at the 2009 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City yesterday looking elegant in two very different ensembles. Molly stepped out in a Marilyn Monroe-inspired dress by Dolce & Gabbana, while Ashely opted for a simple orange and gold dress.

Ashley recently decided to give up acting to pursue a fashion career. She and her sister Mary-Kate are partners in women's fashion collection The Row, and now Ashley's taking over the reigns of the project while her sister continues to act. Ashley is expanding the collection to include men's wear in the autumn.

While Ashley focuses on fashion, Molly puts a lot of her support behind "Friends of El Faro," a non-profit that helps raise money for Casa Hogar Sion, an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. She has hosted the organization's last two fundraisers and visits the orphanage regularly.
