Police in Texas have arrested a man they believe stole a prized basketball jersey autographed by Michael Jordan from Eva Longoria Parker and her husband Tony Parker's home.

The celebrity couple was forced to call in the cops last month after Parker's manager discovered the sports memorabilia item was missing from the San Antonio Spurs star's gym, which was being renovated at the time.

But police in Bexar County are one step closer to having the item returned to Parker after tracking down the alleged thief when he tried to sell the jersey online.

Christopher James Carolan, who worked for the security firm in charge of monitoring Parker's home, was arrested this week on an outstanding warrant for another burglary.

He was still in custody as WENN went to press and is expected to face another charge for the new crime.
