Megan Fox is convinced fame is ruining her social life - none of the actress' friends want to hang out with her now she is a major movie star.

The 23 year old shot to international stardom after appearing in hit 2007 movie Transformers. However, Fox insists becoming an overnight sensation has had a negative impact on her life off-screen - because her friends are wary of the ever-present paparazzi wherever she goes.

She tells Entertainment Tonight, "There have been times (when) people don't want to hang out with me because they don't want to end up on the Internet."

And Fox admits she always feels disheartened when she opens her front door to a mob of waiting photographers, and often scraps her plans so she can avoid wading through the mass of photographers.

She adds, "I sometimes just turn around and go back home and don't do anything and have to have someone go do my grocery shopping."
