Whitney Houston has dismissed reports she has banned journalists from discussing her drug problems during promotional chats for her upcoming album. The R&B diva struggled for years with an addiction to crack cocaine, but has finally kicked her habit and is preparing to launch her chart comeback clean and sober.
But she's allegedly refusing to broach the subject of her past substance abuse issues at all with the media - and will only grant interviews to reporters who adhere to the agreement.
A source tells the New York Daily News, "They only want her to talk to journalists who'll agree not to ask about her substance abuse. The deal is, if they want her, then Matt Lauer, Diane Sawyer or whoever isn't supposed to ask her tough questions."
However, a spokesperson for the star insists there is no truth to the claims because they've yet to discuss the topic.
A representative says, "(The reports are) premature. Nothing has been set."
