Prince is in a lot of pain. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the "Planet Earth" singer needs both of his hips replaced to get rid of the crippling anguish he's going through. However, there is one particular reason why he's not going through with the procedure.

The R&B star became a Jehovah's Witness in 2001, and the religion bars blood transfusion - which takes out the possibility of going under the knife to replace his hips.

"He's in a lot of pain," a source told The Hollywood Reporter. "He's popping pain killers and hoping it will all go away."

Prince declined to replace one of his hips in 2005, according to previous reports. Others claimed he had a "secret" surgery without his religious leaders knowing.
