Al Pacino To Star As Dr. Jack Kevorkian
Kevorkian, nicknamed "Dr. Death," made headlines in the 1990s promoting physician-assisted suicide for terminal patients. He claims to have helped at least 130 people end their lives.
On March 26, 1999 the doctor was charged with first-degree homicide and served eight years in prison from 1999-2007.
The movie will deal with Kevorkian's "Mercy Machine" apparatus, his first assisted suicide and the ensuing controversy.
