Family and friends of the couple gathered at the Royal Society of Medicine in the British capital to commemorate Kelly's life. The couple's eldest son, nine-year-old Theo, paid tribute to his late father in a short speech, describing him as "a boy inside a man."

McElhone and Kelly's family also includes Otis, six, and baby Rex, who was born five months after Kelly passed away.
