Paris Hilton and her boyfriend Doug Reinhardt received an early morning visit from police on Friday after authorities received noise complaints from The Hills star's Hollywood neighbors.

Cops from the Los Angeles Police Department arrived at Reinhardt's Hollywood Hills mansion at around 1 a.m. to intervene in what they believed to be a heated argument between the pair.

Reports online suggest the couple was engaged in a screaming match but agreed to keep their voices down after police spoke to them. Hilton told the authorities she was upset because she thought her beloved pet Chihuahua Tinkerbell had died.

The socialite tells TMZ.com she received an alarming phone call from a sick prankster, who claimed her pet pooch had been run over and killed on Mulholland Drive.

The late night police visit marks the second time this week cops have paid the Reinhardt residence a visit. Officers were called in to break up a loud party at the property in the early hours of Tuesday, and police are now investigating acts of vandalism in the area after neighbors' luxury cars were found to have been scratched with keys and pelted with eggs. Locals believe party guests are responsible.

Hilton's blue Bentley was also targetted in the attack and she has also filed a police report about the incident.
