Jennifer Hudson has postponed a string of dates on her U.S. tour after falling ill with a throat infection. The singer scrapped Sunday night's show in Oakland, California as well as scheduled stops in Phoenix, Arizona, Biloxi in Mississippi and two concerts in Texas, according to E! Online.
The Oscar winner last performed on Saturday evening in Los Angeles, turning the concert into a birthday tribute to the manager who helped her cope after the 2008 murders of her mother, brother and nephew.
Hudson stopped her set at the Nokia Live to surprise her manager with a cake and a chorus of Happy Birthday.
The audience were also treated to a series of star guests - including Chaka Khan and Earth, Wind & Fire stars Philip Bailey and Verdine White - who joined Hudson on stage.
The Dreamgirls star has rearranged the scrapped Oakland date for May 19, the other postponed dates are expected to be rescheduled shortly.
