Jamie Jamie Foxx wants to bring Mike Tyson's life story to the big screen and play the fallen boxing champ in a new biopic.

The actor won critical acclaim for his portrayal of soul legend Ray Charles in 2004's Ray, but he admits there's one other person he's desperate to portray in a movie.

He says, "I think I would have to play Mike Tyson. I've talked to Mike several times and his story is the most tragic American story... Mike's story is about what America and the world is about today. Coming up at 18 years old and getting his $60 million and not teaching him what taxes are about, about vultures, about people who will never be real with you as long as you have the money.

And Foxx reveals he's already set the wheels in motion to make his dream become a reality: "I'm working on securing the rights to the movie."

Tyson became the Undisputed Heavyweight Champion at the age of 21 when he secured the World Boxing Council, the World Boxing Association, and the International Boxing Federation's world heavyweight titles - going down in history as the youngest man to ever achieve such a feat.

He's also the subject of an acclaimed new documentary, Tyson, about his rise and fall.
