Shannen Doherty is mourning the death of her beloved mutt, Roamy. The actress' German shepherd dog died after a long battle with an illness on April 22nd and Doherty couldn't stop sobbing about the tragedy at the opening of the Chandelier Room in Hoboken, New Jersey the following night.

She told Life & Style magazine, "We had one last-ditch effort - it was dialysis, which was a lot of money. My dog has cost me 40 grand."

Roamy was a stray the actress found roaming near her home and she admits the pet was "attached" to her "at all times."
