Lily Allen has a grudge against Vladimir Putin - her showcase concert in Saint Petersburg was axed when the former Russian Premier attended a bare-knuckle bout nearby.

The Smile hitmaker was due to perform a gig in the city in 2007 but it was canceled amid security concerns because Putin was visiting a licensed brawl on the same night.

And Allen was unimpressed with the decision, insisting it has put her off the Russian leader for life.

She says, "I went to Saint Petersburg to play a gig a couple of years ago and it got canceled because a few hundred meters up the river Putin was watching a bare-knuckle fist fight.

"Last minute, he decided to go and watch a bare-knuckle fist fight and therefore my concert got canceled because of security issues. So whatever, Putin - I'm not into you."
