Pop sensation Joe Jonas dreams of swapping music for acting and becoming the next Johnny Depp.

The Jonas Brothers star admits he was bitten by the acting bug early on, as a kid on the Disney Channel, and loved making the band's 2008 movie Camp Rock. Jonas is keen to expand his acting repertoire, and wants a career in the mold of Johnny Depp.

The 19-year-old tells Seventeen magazine, "I would love to do more acting, maybe movies - that would be really cool. I think Johnny Depp's work is really great - he always incorporates music into what he does."

The ambitious star also has literary aspirations, adding, "(I'll) maybe write a book one day, because I love to read."
