Jim Jones' Assault Trial Set For June
Jones, who turned down a plea deal last month, made a brief appearance in a Manhattan court on Tuesday, when a judge scheduled his trial for June 4.
And the rapper's lawyer, Scott Leemon, insists his client is ready to face a judge to prove he's not guilty.
Leemon tells XXL.com, "I always listen (to plea deals) but at this point we're preparing for trial."
Smith has since filed a $7 million civil suit against Jones for damages.
