Fall Out Boy Show In Florida Is Back On
Bassist Pete Wentz sparked rumors the group had been "banned" from the area after taking to his Twitter.com online blog to reveal their performance at the city's Mizner Park Amphitheater on Tuesday night had been canceled by local officials.
A spokesman for the venue subsequently revealed the decision had been made due to "security" issues, claiming in a statement, "There have been known disturbances associated with Fall Out Boy. We anticipate that the concert will generate security challenges."
Fall Out Boy's manager, Bob McLynn, responded, "I'm not sure what these 'challenges' are that they are speaking of. The town said that if we tried to keep the show on we would have to pay an extraordinary amount of money in extra costs."
But the group refused to disappoint fans in the area and have managed to reschedule the gig - part of the ongoing Believers Never Die Tour - in another town.
The concert will now take place at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater in nearby Pompano Beach.
