M.I.A.Rapper/singer M.I.A. caused a headache for security at California's Coachella music festival on Saturday by inviting her fans to storm the stage.

The Paper Planes hitmaker took to the main stage on the second night of the legendary music event in Indio, California and was watched by stars including Paris Hilton, Jake Gyllenhaal and Drew Barrymore.

The singer, who last year was forced to cut short her set at the festival after too many gig-goers joined her onstage, thanked the crowd for showing up and yelled, "Can I get some people up on the stage?"

Several people in the audience complied and security attempted to stop them - much to the annoyance of M.I.A., who repeatedly shouted, "Let 'em on!"

The much anticipated duet with Lil Wayne, which the Brit star wrote about on her Twitter.com page earlier on Saturday, failed to materialize - but she did collaborate with rapper Rye Rye, who danced and sang back-up vocals on several songs.
