Anthony Kiedis Hailed By Musicares
Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis is to be honored for his charity work by the MusiCares foundation. The rocker, who has battled drug addiction in the past, has been using his experiences with illegal substances to help others overcome their drug demons. And he will be feted for his efforts at an upcoming benefit concert held by the charity arm of the Recording Academy.
The gig will take place on May 8th in Los Angeles, California and will feature his band mates, Iggy Pop, Mars Volta and Ivan Neville. All proceeds from the show will donated to a MusiCares drive aiding musicians struggling to beat their addictions.
