Fall Out Boy rocker Pete Wentz narrowly escaped a police fine on Monday after he was pulled over by Los Angeles police for illegal car modifications.

The bassist was stopped by cops for having tinted windows - but officers let him off with a warning. Wentz immediately took to his page on social networking site Twitter.com to blog about his run-in with the law and proclaim his admiration for the L.A. Police Department.

He wrote on his site: "Currently being pulled over for window tints. I guess that's what happens when you drive the Deathstar. Just got let off. I heart (love) LAPD today."
