Drummer Quits Smashing Pumpkins
Corgan and Chamberlin regrouped after the band split in 2000, but pals James Iha and D'arcy Wretzky weren't part of the new line-up.
And now Chamberlin has left the band.
The drummer joined the band Corgan founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1988 and played on all the group's albums except 1988's Adore.
A statement from the group's management reads, "Corgan will continue to write and record as Smashing Pumpkins with plans to head into the studio this spring."
