Lindsay Lohan treated veteran director
Garry Marshall to a night out in Hollywood to make amends for missing filming on their movie
Georgia Rule.
At Marshall's request, a studio executive reprimanded Lohan in a 2006 letter, blaming "all-night heavy partying" for her "irresponsible and unprofessional" behavior.
The note was subsequently leaked online, quickly making headlines and sparking rumors of a feud between Marshall and Lohan.
But the 74 year old director insists he was fascinated by Lohan's wild lifestyle - and even asked the actress to show him the best places to party in Tinseltown.
He tells Fox News, "She and I always got along terrific and she goes out at night, so when we were working I said, 'I keep hearing, reading in the paper you're out there,' and I said, 'Can I come with you?' And she said, 'Yes, but not dressed like that. You don't dress for my crowd.'
"So she went and she bought me a shirt, she bought me a hat and took me on the town and we went to all the places. Mostly what they talk about is boys, and we had a nice evening.
"We were at some nice hippy dippy restaurant, Koi or something, and I said, 'How am I doing Lizzy, am I happening?' And she said, 'Almost.' She said, 'You have Velcro shoes - we don't wear Velcro. Just put your feet under the table and you'll be happening more.'"
