Jerry SpringerResidents in Connecticut are set to seek legal advice following the relocation of Jerry Springer's TV show to their area.

The Jerry Springer Show is currently filmed in Chicago, Illinois but will soon be moved to the Rich Forum Theater in Stamford.

But the proposed relocation has angered locals, who are concerned about the effect the tabloid talk show will have on the city.

Monsignor Stephen DiGiovanni, of St. John's Catholic Church in Stamford, claims some of his parishioners are so concerned that he plans to talk to lawyers to see if the church can stop the move.

He tells the New York Post, "They didn't think this was the right place for it. I'm not very thrilled about it."

DiGiovanni is also worried about the type of people who will be drawn to the area to appear on the show, adding, "Springer is making millions on other people's misery and stereotypes."

However, some locals are delighted by the move - because the town will benefit from a $3 million state investment in local infrastructure as a result of the show.
